PURPOSE STATEMENT
Missions at First Christian Church of Newburgh (FCCN) is defined as any ministry which goes beyond our local congregation to fulfill the great commission of Christ. The Missions ministry of FCCN is known as the World Missions Team (WMT). The WMT shall promote and encourage these endeavors of the church. This is accomplished through evangelizing, discipling, church planting, church development, and sharing in the physical needs of mankind.
The Scriptural Purpose of
FCCN’s Involvement in Missions
1. To fulfill the great commission of Christ.

2. To share Christ’s heart for the world.
(Matthew 9:36-38; 18:10-14)
3. To see men saved and brought to the knowledge of God.
(John 3:16-17; Acts 1:8; Romans 10: 13-15)
4. To build up the body of Christ through discipling.
( Ephesians 4:12-16)
5. To minister to human needs.
(Matthew 22:37-39; 25:31-46)
